#FF 2

Last time I did another #FF post I got 2 lovely take aways. 1) I really enjoyed  talking about how great people are and 2) Lots of people seemed to dig it too. So I’m gonna write about a few people I follow (in case you didn’t know I’ve also changed my twitter handle to @ALWyvern), who I really think it’s worth your time to follow on Twitter. I would include other social media if I ever frequented it so you’ll just have to make do. Please remember these are in no particular order!

Also please note this list is far from definitive, and if you’re not on it, it’s only because I don’t have time to write about all the awesome people in my feed, I’ll get to you eventually!

Amy @amywrdn

Developer of the excellent Neon Ultra which will be coming to Steam at some stage soon, I highly recommend it, it’s a fast paced bright and flashy twin stick shooter. She tweets a lot about the development of her games and it’s great to watch her improve almost daily!

Stephen @tehPHEN

Stephen is possibly one of the most helpful people I know and very knowledgeable when it comes to gamedev and coding. He is PerfectFace™ He also maintains the Bablawn3d5 game engine if you’re interested.

MCC @mcclure111

Often tweets about coding stuff I have no clue about as it’s way out of my league, but is still really interesting, and sometimes I learn something. Also: quality RT’s (for my definition of quality…)

Gordon Little @G_O_R_D

Author of the excellent family fun game Spell Casting, now coming to Steam. Of course Spell Casting isn’t his only game, you can check out his backlog on his itch page, Starfighter: Research and Development is a particular favourite of mine. Gord is a cool guy, usually positive and with a kind word to say.

Jess @yetanotherjess

Talks/knows a lot about cars (I ❤ cars),  and she’s also a bit like as if Rick and Morty happened to gaming/twitter in general. High quality tweets, cool person. Supposedly says cunt a lot but I’ve not seen much evidence to support this statement. I have a lot of time for Jess!

Sir Vibesalot @EthanRedd

Ethan Redd has both talent and a bucket load of skill. His designs are vibrant and full of life. He runs twitch streams while he designs and I’m only sorry I can’t find the time to check them out. He has a Patreon if you’re into that sort of thing, well worth checking out. One of his in development games is loosely based on a Tai Chi practice called Push Hands and I can’t wait to see more of it!

Emily Short @emshort

Emily doesn’t tweet a huge amount but she is the go to for all of Interactive Fiction. When she tweets, it’s usually a good ‘un so if IF is up you’re alley and you’re not following her, fix this!

Hi, Everybody! Games @UdellGames

Nick (Who just got a Doctorate hence the name) is the creator of Hyper Gauntlet (available on itch.io) which has been greenlit and will be coming to Steam if it isn’t already there. He talks game dev and is a pretty cool/funny guy.

Anna @AnnaHollinrake

Anna is a game artist and illustrator, among other things. So expect a lot of talk in that direction, and it’s wonderful to hear about that side of gaming and business in general. As a bonus, lots of great art in my feed.

Ben Burnes @ben_burnes

Ben is a musician, and his stuff seems to pop up in most indie games I play (including Spell Casting) for some reason. And that is most definitely a good thing as Ben is an excellent musician. He has some albums up on Bandcamp and a Patreon if you really like his stuff. He’s also a budding game developer so there’s a lot of great stuff in his feed, you’re missing out if you’re not already following Ben.

So it’s late and as usual I didn’t say nearly enough about how cool all these folks are. I’ve already given the disclaimer but I’ll just say it again anyway, this list is just a few of the many many awesome people I follow on twitter, more will follow in other #FF posts. I highly recommend you follow these people at any rate because they will only improve your feed.
